-Pero es que a mí no me gusta tratar a gente loca - protestó Alicia.
-Oh, eso no lo puedes evitar - repuso el Gato- . Aquí todos estamos locos. Yo estoy loco. Tú estás loca.
-¿Cómo sabes que yo estoy loca? - preguntó Alicia.
-Tienes que estarlo -afirmó el Gato- , o no habrías venido aqui.

"Mystic Dream"

Camino entre brasas ardientes por llanuras desoladas. Pero no tengo miedo a perderme, sé que podría proseguir con los ojos cerrados sin apartarme un centímetro del sendero. Conozco cada uno de sus rincones y tortuosos recodos a pesar de no haberlo transitado antes. La rutina del guerrero convierte cada una de sus jornadas en una lección aprendida de antemano. Y yo cada tarde me dirijo a la batalla sin saber en qué frente habré de empuñar mis armas por la mañana. Me detengo tan sólo un instante para recobrar el aliento, el suficiente para que la inquietud haga suya esa sutil ventaja y me invada sin piedad. Cada una de las espadas que soporto detienen mi avance, mientras me pregunto indignada porqué una niña ha de recorrer sola semejantes parajes y cargar con tan insólito fardo de juguetes. Me aferro a la única idea capaz de confortar mi corazón, y es que no te llevo conmigo Y aunque te sé a salvo, muy lejos de aquí, y me he vestido de valiente con mi mejor cota de malla, cada paso que doy obliga a mi vista a mirar más allá de las montañas, en la lejanía. El color del ocaso es sin duda más bello, pero son tus ojos lo que busco cuando miro el horizonte. (más)
